La Vie de Luc chosen as the perfect water partner
The fifth SA Women’s Wine & Spirit Awards took place in November at the Nietvoorbij campus in Stellenbosch. The aim of the annual competition is to find worthy wines, spirits and liqueurs judged by all-female panels, and to award the best products entered. Trophies were handed out to Woman Winemaker of the Year, Woman Distiller of the Year, Méthode Cap Classique of the Year and Sparkling wine of the Year.
SA Women’s Wine & Spirit Awards had to find great tasting water to ensure panellists can judge the entries without inhibiting their palates during the gruelling double-blind tastings.
La Vie de Luc as partner
La Vie de Luc Mineral Water started somewhat out by default in 1993. CSIR was commissioned to perform an in-depth analysis of the farm’s spring water to ascertain its mineral composition for agricultural purposes. Upon delivery of the results CSIR strongly recommended to bottle the water due to its unequalled mineral composition from which the water derives a soft, fresh, and palatable taste.
A solid national distribution grid was established which is now expanding to sub-equatorial nations in Africa i.e. Namibia, Zambia, Swaziland, Botswana and Mozambique.
La Vie de Luc places significant value on the relationship they have with their Distribution Partners and are committed to continuing to build a world-class market-leading network with mutual objectives and goals. The distribution partners each bring unique skills and knowledge. They offer streamlined business processes to ensure we deliver outstanding support at every stage of the sales process and beyond.
When La Vie de Luc started the South African bottled mineral water industry was at its embryonic stage and there were only a hand-full of producers. Consequently, there was no legislation, associations etc. governing the processes of quality, production and handling of bottled water.
La Vie de Luc played a crucial role not only as a founding member of the “South African National Bottled Water Association (SANBWA)” but also in assisting with the guide lines and standards set by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). Today La Vie de Luc is the only South African Bottled Water Brand to hold all the following.
ISO22000 (international standard), SANBWA (national standard), SABS (national standard), HALAAL (national standard) and BETH DIN (national standard).
